Accelerated Learning Pathway

Our school proudly offers an Accelerated Mathematics – Advanced Pathway designed to support and challenge students with strong mathematical ability and a passion for learning.

As part of this enriching program, students participate in a weekly Period Zero lesson, providing additional opportunities to consolidate learning, explore advanced concepts, and build confidence in their mathematical thinking.

We are committed to creating opportunities that inspire excellence, nurture student potential, and support every learner to achieve their personal best.

Apple Foundation

The Apple Foundation Program at UTS immerses our students in real world app design, where they co-create solutions for real people and meaningful experiences. Working in teams, they explore ideas that challenge stereotypes, health perspectives, and patterns of understanding, turning creativity into purposeful design.

Using Xcode and Swift, students build future-ready skills in coding, design thinking, and user experience as they develop their own app prototypes. This is hands on learning in action, where innovation empowers impact.

Virtuoso

Virtuoso is a vibrant celebration of CAPA and the Arts, showcasing the talent, passion, and creativity of our students.

Through dance, music, and drama, students take to the stage to express themselves and bring powerful stories to life. It is an inspiring showcase of artistry, confidence, and the joy of performance across our school community..

Celebrating Culture, Community and Connection

Our whole school commitment is reflected through rich cultural experiences such as NAIDOC Week celebrations, the Junior AECG, and participation in significant cultural events that build pride and connection to culture. External partnerships, including the Sista Speak Aboriginal Health program, further enhance wellbeing and provide targeted support for student pathways and success.

A highlight of our community engagement is our NAIDOC Week celebration, featuring immersive activities such as art, bush tucker, traditional games, face painting and Aboriginal dance performances. Guided by staff and community members, students came together to create a collaborative artwork inspired by the NAIDOC 50th anniversary theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” showcasing unity, creativity, and shared cultural pride.

Today show

We were proud to welcome The Today Show to our school, showcasing the innovative spaces and vibrant learning environment that define our community. The visit highlighted key areas across the school, including the Wellbean Café, Lumination Lab, Specialist Learning Spaces and our outstanding Sports Centre, while also featuring a guided tour of the wider school grounds. It was an exciting opportunity to share the creativity, technology, and student focused programs that make our school unique and a memorable moment of pride for our entire community.

A moment with Dr Karl

We were thrilled to welcome renowned Science communicator Karl Kruszelnicki to East Hills Girls Technology High School for an inspiring and engaging session on future careers in science and technology. Dr Karl shared an uplifting vision of a brighter, smarter generation and reminded us that challenges like climate change are solvable.

Students were captivated as he explored pathways in Genetics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, and Environmental Science, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking.

A highlight of the day included his entertaining honorary doctorate story and a surprise karaoke moment with “Doctor Doctor Give Me the News,” which brought laughter to the audience. Students also impressed with thoughtful questions ranging from Fermi’s Paradox to the science of dreaming, making it a truly memorable and inspiring experience for all.
