Student Voice and Leadership

At East Hills Girls Technology High School, we believe our students are at the heart of our school community. Student voice matters. We provide meaningful opportunities for students to share their ideas, express their perspectives and contribute to decisions that shape their learning and school experience.

Through a range of student leadership opportunities, students are encouraged to develop the confidence, skills and responsibility to lead, collaborate and make a positive difference.

Student Voice

Our students are encouraged to speak up, share their ideas and actively contribute to school life. Student voice is embedded across our school through student leadership, consultation, wellbeing initiatives, learning programs, events and opportunities to provide feedback.

We value the perspectives of our students and recognise that they bring unique experiences, ideas and solutions to our school community. Listening to students helps us understand what is working, identify areas for improvement and create a school environment where every student feels valued, respected and connected.

Student Leadership

EHGTHS provides students with opportunities to lead in ways that reflect their strengths, interests and aspirations. From formal leadership positions to peer leadership, mentoring, student led initiatives and school events, students are supported to develop their leadership capacity.

Our student leaders are role models who demonstrate our school values and contribute positively to the culture of our school. They work alongside staff and their peers to build connection, promote belonging and create opportunities for others to participate.

Developing Future Leaders

Leadership at EHGTHS is about more than holding a position. It is about having the courage to contribute, the confidence to lead and the responsibility to make a difference.

Through student voice and leadership, our students develop skills in communication, collaboration, problem solving, decision making and advocacy. These experiences empower our young women to become active contributors to their school, community and future workplaces.
